Visiting with family...that's what it's all about

Well we spent the day visiting with family and friends...up at 6am and out shortly their after. Saw dad's best friend Franjo,  moms friend, Gordanas friend, cousins Zeljko, Snijezana and Katrina, who have just now began finishing touches on their home after they where bombed in an aerial attack and hit with grenades. A grenade exploded in their home while they were in the kitchen. Then to the grave yard and a walk through Badljevina, the church was rebuilt since my last visit and there is a new store in town. Stopped to see my friend Silvija and we went for a walk to take in the changes there are many. Stopped to see Zlata on the way home, to arrange travels for shopping in Bosnia in the am. Another early morning tomorrow. Hearing what our family and friends went through during the war, reinforced how. Lucky we are that our parents immigrated when they did. I love and miss my babies big and small...will see you all soon...laku noc

Interesting trip from plitvice lakes...

The gps took us through Bosnia...an intimidating border to say the least. 3 separate officials to intimidate. And an equally intimidating mtn trek down. Cliffs and all minus guard rails. Some towns still blown out from the war, as well as areas that have yet to be defined, no wandering off the beaten track...land mines...

Spending time with family in Nova Gradiska...
